WHAT IS YOUR TEAM'S EXPERIENCE LEVEL?
We're a mix of all different backgrounds and specialties. We range from years of catering experience to simply having a hard work ethic and learn on our feet. This diverse group brings lots of knowledge and life experience to our events. When we learn about your party we staff it
CAN I MEET MY HOST OR HOSTESS BEFOREHAND?
Our rates do not reflect a pre-event visit with your Host or Hostess, but should you want to meet with him or her prior to the event to discuss menus or ideas, we can arrange for that meeting and bill for the consultation.

WHAT IS YOUR ATTIRE?
We don't have a set uniform, but we often wear "stylish black" clothing to most parties. For some house parties, we have requests to dress like a guest might so we blend in.

WHAT DEFINES HOME-PARTY HELP?
If your event is taking place in a home or residential property, that is the key qualifying factor we require to staff your event. If your event is taking place in a venue or non-residential space, we consider that cater-style staffing and can provide references for that type of help.

WHAT DOES A HOST AND HOSTESS DO?
If you as the hostess would do it, then that's what our Host and Hostesses do. We are you "clone" taking on hostessing duties so you can enjoy your party. Examples are:
• Greet guests and take coats
• Place decorations
• Assist in prepping pre-made food and presentation
• Maintain buffets and pass appetizers
• Maintain coffee & tea stations
• Bus party refuse
• Clean personal dishes
• Pack up rentals
• Check in on guests and on you
Hosting isn't always glamorous work and we do anything it takes for you to relax and have a good time.

WILL YOU DO A SITE VISIT?
Our rates do not reflect a pre-event visit with your Host or Hostess, but should you want to meet with him or her prior to the event to discuss menus or ideas, we can arrange for that meeting and bill for the consultation.

CAN YOU HELP ME WITH MY RENTAL ORDER?
Yes. We'd be happy to offer quantity recommendations, however clients are responsible for placing their rental order. Rental companies are also very experienced in offering suggestions as well.
DO YOU PREPARE FOOD?
Within reason. We're not trained for food preparation. However, we're happy to plate and present pre-made food or follow simple instructions for cooking. We've cooked appetizers from Trader Joe's and re-plated Costco cheese platters. Our team is also able to follow simple assembly and cooking instructions.
DO YOU OFFER DIFFERENT TYPES OF FOOD SERVICE?
Yes. We can tray pass, stock and maintain buffets and present food "family style." Plated dinners are not our specialty, but let us know what you're thinking and we'll assess if it's something we can do or should refer out.

CAN YOU DELIVER MY FOOD?
Probably not, but let us know what you're thinking. Because we're not a traditional catering compay, we don't have vehicles to accomodate food transport. We are able to accomodate some scenarios.

DOES YOUR INSURANCE COVER ME?
We are an insured company, which means our policy only covers The Invisible Hostess and the employees under that umbrella. You, your guests or your venue are not covered in our policy.

WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING PROCESS?
1. Inquire via our online form or call 206.227.8572.
2. Give as much detail as possible. Guest count and the food plan are always first questions we ask.
3. You will be sent an estimate in your inbox. But wait! You're not booked just yet...
4. We ask for 24 hours to ensure we have staff availability for your party. Only upon confirmation of availability are we able to go to step 5.
5. We confirm availability and you have 48 hours to secure the booking by submitting a deposit and signing the digital contract through our seamless booking system, Honeybook.
6. Once you have paid and signed, we introduce you to your Host/Hostess/Bartender via email. We will confirm details, address, attire and contact information. The week of the party we will check in and ensure the details are still set.
7. We impress you.

WHAT IS YOUR GRATUITY POLICY?
We offer flat competitve rates and fair compensation to our staff. However, if you are pleased with the service, gratuity is very much appreciated.
We will ask you upon booking a bartender (for non-house parties) your preference on a tip jar out at the event. Tip jar or not, it will not affect the hourly rate.
